Today was awesome. It started a little too early for my liking, but that's alright. When you can't sleep the night before something, you can't complain... too much. Anyway, this morning I got coffee with Danielle and Jessie. Girl time was nice. I don't often say that, but it really was. We went down to the Corner Store and walked part of the way down to the tide pools after. Really calm and quiet and beautiful. We then parted ways to get a few things done before the Super Bowl started. I went to Jessie's for the game and met her family. Awesome people. Her friend Xander and roommate Josh are awesome too. Love those guys. Then Xander and I convinced Jessie that we needed to go out and meet up with Danielle and Riley. Nicolle and Nick joined us for a while too. More awesome ensued. Very happy to have made new friends. Definitely of the good.

The other day I found an old t-shirt from my bestest buddy Rudy. It was not a pretty thing. It had been well loved... Scratch that, it was gross. I told him years ago I would make it into a pillow for him because I was not going to be seen with him if he wore it in public. I promptly lost it in the abyss that is my room and forgot. So when I unearthed the thing, as well as a bag of stuffing, I figured it was high time to fulfill my promise. I cut the shirt into the shape I wanted (meaning I found a shape that cut off the icky bits), sewed all but a few inches of the top, stuffed it with the entire bag of fluff, and sewed up the last bit. I wanted the seams to show, so I sewed it with the right sides out. The jersey material won't fray (hopefully) and it looks cool. It's kind of a sloppy look, but it works. There was also a small hole in the front of the shirt, so I stitched that up as well. Its a pretty good little pillow. It's a great way to preserve old t-shirts that you can't, won't, or just don't wanna get rid of.
